Clutch Failure , new Exedy Racing Clutch for B-Series

I got this problem while driving my car especially when to disengage clutch at 1st gear, I got this jerking & shaking and the most noticeable thing is my gear change is not smooth as usual. Worst is when I want to change gear at high speed, cannot shift at all!!

So, set time with my foremen. Check and change clutch pump rubber (top one not at the gearbox) which is seen to be leaking. After a few test, still my gear cant be shift. Now the problem even worst!

So, I take my car for full checking which is bring down the gearbox, suspected clutch plate got problem. Meanwhile, I already bought one set of this thing...

Exedy Racing Clutch 3 puck for B-Series (RM950)

Saturday (26/02/2011)

Sent my car to my foremen, and together we bring down the gearbox and have a nice look at the gearbox...

S80 GSR Gearbox without LSD

Greenish thick oil. Shockproof redline oil!

This is the problem. Notice? NO? OK how about close up..

one of the supporter of the clutch plate spring broken...

Then, get new clutch bearing and ready to put back in the gearbox..

Result :
Up: smooth gear change and good grip.... !
Down : clutch feel abit heavier but still acceptable (even my wife can drive it ;P ) .
Hard shaking and jerking after release the clutch, need to rev abit higher to get it going. Hopefully this problem will fade a little bit as the clutch surface is fully contact with the flywheel..

New ECU... P73-003 ITR in B18C GSR

Got my stuff from PJ...

No sticker/label available
*this is rechip obd2 ecu;
vtec on at 5200rpm
no rev cut...

comparison P72-013 & P73-003 Ecu

put in the socket to the ecu

this is the video for the first start up using b18cR ecu into b18c gsr engine

my rev limit has been increased hehehe... (rev limit for GSR about 8200rpm only)

Result : great ecu for gsr upgrade , you can feel the response from 3000 rpm until 8200rpm (keeping my rev limit below 8400rpm due to stock GSR valve spring) very2 noticeable from std gsr ecu, however due to the diff of internal design between GSR & Type R (mine using p73 oversize piston combo with b16b camshaft and converted to skunk2 intake manifold) the response from idle until 3000rpm a bit heavy (but still acceptable) compare to std p72 ecu. (this can be solved by fine tuning Air Fuel using my vafc). I will review back after made some fine tuning.

check this out!!

(thanks to syakir for this item)

The next step is ON....

open the head cover

preparing for cam dial tuning using iskanderian racing cam degree, not sure the name hehehe ;P

Result :

Immediate respon can be feel from midrange untill redline. even without fine tune with vafc. very noticeable. (and yeah its only OEM Honda Type R b16b camshaft)...
