!st Problem!!

OVERHEAT!!!


HUWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

masalah nie rupe2nye dh lama, sejak aku amik kereta nie lg. sebab diorang ckp temperature naik. tp dh tkr radiator baru (kalau dh overheat, tkr radiator buat pe! angkat head la bang!!!). sebab tu la ada masalah susah kete nak idup, lebih2 lg bila enjin panas. rupenye nie la masalah dia. siyul tu la mcm nie.

td sembang2 kt bengkel, dkt 1k++ jugak la nak buat overhaul balik, head kena skim, piston, blok. adeh.... kenapalah terjadi masalah begini. huhuhuhu~

Engine & Performance

Salam,

disini aku nak kongsikan sedikit sebanyak pasal enjin yg mendiami enjin bay aku skarang. Untuk pengetahuan berpandukan geran, enjin kereta aku telah ditukar dr (...... nanti aku edit balik, lupa lak code enjin dia....) kepada enjin jenis ZC. ZC?? apekebendanye tuh? meh refer info aku cilok dr wikipedia...

ZC(similar to D15Z4, D16Z6, D16A1, D16A3, D16A6, D16A8, D16A9 and D16Z5 engines)

A few D-series variants are labelled "ZC" (usually JDM), but they are not truly a different series.

There are both SOHC and DOHC ZC engines.

The non-VTEC SOHC ZC is similar to the D15Z4 and D16A6 engine, but with more aggressive cam timing.

The VTEC SOHC ZC is identical to the D16Z6.

The DOHC ZC is similar to the D16A1, D16A3, D16A8, D16A9 and D16Z5 engines.

DOHC ZC

  • Found in 1988-'91 (JDM) CR-X Si
    • Specs:
      • Displacement : 1590 cm³
      • Bore and Stroke : 75 mm X 90 mm
      • 1986-1987 Compression : 9.3:1 1988-1989 Compression : 9.5: 1
      • 1986-1987 Power : 113 hp (84.3 kW, 115 ps) @ 6250 rpm; Torque : 99 ft·lbf (13.7 kg/m, 134 Nm) @ 5500rpm (US)
      • 1988-1989 Power : 118 hp (88.0 kW, 120 ps) @ 6250 rpm; Torque : 101 ft·lbf (14.0 kg/m, 137 Nm) @ 5500rpm (US)
      • 1988-1991 Power : 130 hp (96.9 kW, 132 ps) @ 6800 rpm; Torque : 106 ft·lbf (14.7 kg/m, 144 Nm) @ 5700 (JDM)
      • Valvetrain : DOHC
      • Piston Code 1986-'87 : PG6
      • Piston Code 1988-'89 : PM7

Euro Mk1 ('85-'87) 1.6 CRX's are fitted with an engine designated "ZC1" which is a higher spec 130 hp (96.9 kW, 132 ps) version of the D16A1. Which were later to be switched out with the D16A8 or B16A depending on which model.

    • 1st Gen ZC

Identified by: External coil, small distributor, dual butterfly TB, cam cover bolts on top, brown/gold cam cover. Large cam pulleys. +3cc PG6B pistons, non-pent roof combustion chamber. As a ZC it appeared in JDM AV Integra Si and JDM E-AT Civic/CR-X Si. Commonly produced at the time but now over 20 years old and getting harder to find. D-series version D16A1 '86-'87

    • 2nd Gen ZC (rarest)

Identified by: Internal coil, large distributor, single butterfly TB mounted on slight angle forward, bolts on top of cam cover, black cam cover, large cam pulleys. +7cc PM7 pistons, 43 cc Pent roof combustion chamber. As a ZC appeared in JDM facelift AV bodied Integra Si did not appear in Civic or CR-X, rarest ZC only produced for less than one year. D-series version D16A1 '88-'89 (sometimes +7cc P29 pistons)

    • 3rd Gen ZC

Identified by: Internal coil, large distributor, single butterfly TB. Black cam cover. Cam cover bolts on the sides. Small cam pulleys. Inlet Manifold stamped PM7. +7cc PM7 pistons, 43 cc Pent roof combustion chamber. As a ZC appeared in JDM EF3 civic and EF7 CR-X, did not appear in an Integra body. Most commonly produced ZC, manufactured in Japan from end of '87 through to early '91 D-series version D16A8/9 (Euro Civic Si) (sometimes +7cc P29 pistons)

    • 4th Gen ZC

Identified by: Internal coil. OBD1 EFi system (grey plug). No cam angle sensor on exhaust cam, now located in distributor. Rubber plug where cam angle sensor would mount. Black cam cover. No PGM-EFi plate on the inlet manifold, replaced with three ribs instead. P29 stamped on inlet manifold. MAP sensor on TB. +7cc PM7 pistons, pent roof combustion chamber. As a ZC only appeared in EG5 Civic bodies, no Integra or CRX received this engine. Reasonably common produced from '92 to '94. (20th Anniversary edition & Japanese car of the year) D-series version D16A8/9 (Euro & Australia Civic Si & NZ Civic Gti) (sometimes +7cc P29 pistons)

Review skit pasal enjin nie...

Fuel Consumption
enjin aku nie 1.6 sohc vtec auto. so, what r u expecting? auto bai... rasanye kalau main ngan saga aku nie gear 3 je (hehehe). tp seriusly aku ckp, apa yg aku perhatikan overall fuel consumpsion leh dpt untuk rm10 ~ 60kmh (bwk ilek2 dgn on aircond + lenjan2 skit hehe). kalau long distance lg layannn.. memang sep . pebarang nak laju tp minyak nak save!!

Respon Enjin
buat masa nie respon enjin utk cara bwk2 biase lg sedap dr wira auto 1.5 sohc mak aku (nie je perbandingan yg leh aku buat) dan lagi sedap kelisa auto adik aku (huhuhuhuhu). gear change mostly at 3000rpm (normal kot).

VTEC ON~!
terus terang aku katakanla aku pun tak tau bape vtec activate kt enjin nie. tp apa yg nyata bila kita floor pedal, enjin akan bunyi kuat skit... bila lebih je rpm 4000 dia akan rasa satu sentakan bersama bunyi jeritan (skit je) kereta jd ringan je perginye (mcm melayang2 pun ada). tgk speed meter, boleh tahan naik.

aku pernah test dkt hiway, suddenly floor pedal vtec ON, selambe je leh cecah 180kmh. mcm tak caye je. dan pomen yg bikin kete nie test malam sebelum aku amik kete nie ckp 200kmh dpt kt hiway kesas. hehehe. so far, aku lum berani nak lenjan tahap tu lg. lgpun tgk enjin lain mcm je, teppet pun berbunyik. aku rasa owner lama aku usik skit la.

minyak time vtec ON? mcm air beb... siyul tul. memang ada efek. beza jauh berbeza hehehehe...

anyway, tu je review aku untuk enjin nie, byk gile benda yg aku tak tau. nak mintak tolong org ajar pun, tanye pun takde respon. nak belajar sendiri kang ada yg sesat. ermmmm..... tp takpelah guna dulu apa yg ada. lgpun modal dh byk habis. nak tkr enjin?? lepas kawen la. tu je.

utk enjin nie paling kuat pun mungkin la aku tkr gearbox manual, masuk VAFCII ke tak pun masuk set skunk2 untuk enjin nie (wan cipan supercas DRAX dah ada resepi hehehe) or just pump in b18cR . setel!

Nie DIY yg aku buat sendiri tatkala tgh tunggu waktu berbuka (ko puase ganti ke ?? hehe) . aku sebenarnye hari2 dok tgk gambar facelift EK99 nie. dan bila aku bandingkan dgn ej aku. mcm lain jew... apa sebabnye? meh tgk gambar bwh nie...

Finally.....

Kete br dpt terus tukar rim beb ....

tak mampu beli tayar mahal (ekceli g kedai hari ahad so takde pilihan), beli murah pun cukup la..

Alignment...

On da way balik, aku layankan la kete br nie. so far ok, vtec punye penangan tu agak kurang skit berbanding dgn DOHC (memang la wei!). tp so far ok la. cuma time laju tu ada rasa melayang skit.

lg satu, yg menggerunkan aku adalah bila bukak je bonet enjin, aduhai... sedih. bayangkanla ejos sensor punye plug tu leh tercabut?!! (WTF). aku dh cuba masukkan balik. tunggu la cemane efek dia . lg satu time idle tu memang lain mcm bunyi. bunyi tepet pun ada.... lg satu time start tu tak smooth. dia mcm semput2 skit (maybe berpunca dr ejos sensor kot). So far ok la. aku try lenjan, naik 160kmh selamber je. pomen yg test kete aku ckp 200kmh boleh jejak. hehehe

apapun byk benda nak kena perbaiki lg. Insyaallah aku buat step by step. Slow2... duit pun terhad tui tak.

ek9/virs front grill

Salam,

Update skit brg baru , grill ek9/vi-rs. Berlangsungnya di mobil kelana jaya, pertemuan dgn abam rs_spec aka syakir n fuselage aka apis ditemani member aku nasir aka TX SIC n adik. Grill nie aku dh booked awal minggu lg. disebabkan grill depan aku masih lg standard ek99. tak cun ah~.

Opening.........

Salam....

First of all,syukur kehadrat Ilahi aku masih disini, mula2 aku nak mengucapkan terima kasih kepada ibu bapaku yg memahami minat aku, adik2 ku yg sentiasa disisi, kekasihku, kawan2ku yg sentiasa memberi peransang (bukan ransangan tau), kepada semua teman2 forumer (TFL,ZTH,TERATO,FGSN9,PMC,PROCC,VAPERCLUB,SIC,EMOREC dll), teman2 kelab2 permotoran yang mana mengenali aku dr dulu sampai skarang, teman2 bengkel (NSM Auto), teman2 kutukan, serta tak lupa teman2 kilang aku (korang memang best, downtime kasi kurang la bro... br la target 8000/shift dpt. brlah Manager kita senyum sokmo)

Pertama kali, blog nie aku bukak untuk memaparkan keperihalan modifikasi aku terhadap jentera baru aku. Untuk info Honda civic ej6 thn 96 yang aku beli cash (ekceli hutang bapak aku rm15k) , rege kete rm35k jgn tak tau ye. maknenye tak ah pening2 pale nak pikir pasal interest la ape la.

untuk yg berminat nak beli model honda civic nie. aku nak bg tips skit la utk korang pertimbangkan.

ok,

mcm aku nie, mula2 mencarik agak lama jugak la, mula2 tgk honda ej7 thn 97. member bapak aku yg rekomen asalnye. katanye kete dh fully ek99 dgn warna pearl white. menarik. tp bila jumpa g tgk. hasilnye mengecewakan beb. cuma yg betul warna je. yg lain2 tu std dgn bodipart ek96 jew. frust aku....

aku pun mencarik lg sendiri, dgn bermodalkan downpayment rm18k aku carik civic ej/ek yg dh complete. serius ckp la. memang susah gile. nie setakat melayari internet, merayau kt forum2 honda. susahla... ada tp tak berkenan. kesempatan tu aku siap dh booking nak beli wira GSR tau rm200 (hangusss!, tp nak wat cemane dh family tak restu)

yg paling penting sekali , interest, aku dpt info interest utk kete 2nd nie tinggi around 8%
ok utk loan, korang leh amik utk 4tahun je. so, lets calculate

24k X 8% (per year) = a (please kira sendiri) , then
24k + ( a X 4tahun) = b (please kira sendiri)
drpd jumlah b/48bulan = your monthly is???

This is my car story, seriously kete nie memang mkn kesabaran aku yg tinggi, masa yg byk. suka aku ceritakan, kete nie fully stock. bodipart pun spec 96 lg. spec enjin std 1.6 sohc vtec auto pekak. aku kuar modal skit dan kepercayaan bg member bapak aku uruskan utk konvert bodipart ek99 dgn cat championship white.

lepas sebulan nie la hasil dia.

masa nie br lepas cat...

dalaman , dh siap dgn seat recaro dh.

nie lak overall look lepas kuar kedai cat. masa nie lum masuk lips depan dan belakang ek99, spoiler ek99 lg.


Apapun, still ada beberapa perubahan aku nak buat setelah dh convert dr 96-99 spec.

1) sport rim

2) ek99 grill (dh booking, nanti amik hehehe)

3) foglight ek99
4) rear disc ek4
5) adjustable absorber/ ek9 absorber
6) ek4 sunroof

nie list utk exterior dulu. utk dalaman dan enjin ilek2 dulu. maybe lepas kawen kot hehehe

so far, proses beli kete nie tgh berjalan, tgh dlm urusan tkr nama dan insuran. maybe jumaat/sabtu (5-6 may) leh selamat tkr milik. yahoooo...
